It’s probably essential to consider when selecting a High Rate 18650 Li-ion Battery. You need to know how much current the device you are trying to power requires before choosing your high Rate 18650 Li-ion Battery. If you select a 18650 Li-ion Battery with a current rating more minor than what you need, you will notice the High Rate 18650 Li-ion Battery overheating as it is working beyond its ability to keep up. You should also know two terms that are discussed in the high Rate 18650 Li-ion Batterycurrent ratings. Those terms are continuous discharge rating (CDR) and pulse discharge rating (Pulse).
*** 18650 Battery Care Tips ***
- Never fully discharge a Li-Ion battery (less than 2.5V load).
- Fully charge to 4.2V before first use.
- Never forcefully install (insert) the Li-ion battery.
- Do not use old and new batteries at the same time.
- Use only a top-notch battery charger.
- Do not expose to warm environment. Try not to short (connect) the positive (top) and negative (bottom) battery terminals (contacts).

FQA:
1. How to calculate the Watt Hours (Wh) of a lithium battery
Example 1: an 11.1 volt 4,400 mAh battery – first divide the mAh rating by 1,000 to get the Ah rating – 4,400/1,000 – 4.4ah. You can now calculate as – 4.4Ah x 11.1 volts = 48.8Wh.
Example 2: a 12 volt 50 Ah battery – 50 Ah x 12 volts = 600Wh.
2. How does a lithium cell work?
The movement of the lithium ions creates free electrons in the anode which creates a charge at the positive current collector. The electrical current then flows from the current collector through a device being powered (cell phone, computer, etc.) to the negative current collector.
3. How a lithium cell is produced?
Lithium ion batteries are manufactured in sets of electrodes and then assembled in cells. Active material is mixed with polymer binders, conductive additives, and solvents to form a slurry that is then coated on a current collector foil and dried to remove the solvent and create a porous electrode coating.
4. Why is lithium so famous?
Lithium plays a critical role in much of what we do in our daily lives. In addition to EVs, lithium is an essential part of the technology that powers mobile phones, computers, power tools and battery storage of energy generated from wind and solar power.
